The ICT for Development Network was designed
and created to promote knowledge sharing between key actors of the region
in the areas of information technologies and their applications to development
contexts, including education.
Seeing that many governments and institutions in Latin America are in the process of designing or implementing technology projects in order to promote social development, the Inter American Agency for Cooperation and Development has established this network to promote the exchange of lessons learned, coordinate future project planning, and provide a central space where Knowledge for Development information can be posted and shared. The type of information that can be found on this site includes relevant research and reports on ICT, news and details on upcoming conferences and workshops, as well as databases of content, best practices in ICT applications, and software with development applications.
